The first Oral Abstract sessions open on Wednesday, Feb. 4, and will continue each day at the 2026 Tandem Meetings | Transplantation & Cellular Therapy Meetings of ASTCT® and CIBMTR®.
Collectively, these 14 Scientific Track Oral Abstract sessions and the additional track-specific abstract sessions provide the opportunity to hear directly from authors of more than 100 of the most impactful research papers of the past and current year in the field of transplantation, cell and gene therapy.

“I think oral abstract sessions are one of the many highlights of the Tandem Meetings,” said Scientific Organizing Committee (SOC) Co-Chair Betty Hamilton, MD. “Oral abstracts can allow attendees to hear the latest research advances in the field, often before full publication, helping the dissemination of novel or high-impact data. It also gives researchers the opportunity to present more preliminary findings, fostering robust scientific dialogue between presenters and attendees. Works presented in abstracts at the meeting often shape the scientific narrative of the current and future meetings.”
Best Abstracts
Six papers have been selected for presentation and discussion at the Welcome, Awards & Best Abstracts session on Friday, Feb. 6, from 8:15 – 10:00 a.m. MST.
They represent a range of relevant and cutting-edge themes, from Clinical Outcomes from the Pooled Safety Analysis of CD19 Nex-T™ (BMS-986353), a Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) T cell Therapy Manufactured Using a Next-Generation Process, in Severe Refractory Autoimmune Diseases: Results from Phase 1 Breakfree Studies (presented by Ran Reshef, MD, MSc) to Remodeling the Multiple Myeloma Bone Marrow Microenvironment with CART Cells to Overcome Resistance (presented by Jennifer Feigin, PhD candidate).
Scientific Track Oral Abstracts
During the 2026 Tandem Meetings, more than 80 papers will be discussed in 14 different Scientific Track Oral Abstract sessions.
First-day oral abstract sessions include presentations on clinical developments in graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), mitigating toxicities in CAR-T therapy, hemoglobinopathy and social determinants of health, all at 3:15 – 4:45 p.m. MST.
Of the first-day oral abstracts, Dr. Hamilton highlighted Session D – Social Drivers, Access Challenges, and Equity in Transplant and Cellular Therapy Care Delivery. She said this session explains how the field can advance only if researchers and clinicians continue to optimize access and equity.
“This is an incredibly important topic essential to our therapies. While it is incredibly exciting how many advances there have been in transplant and cell therapy, our treatments are only as good as our ability to deliver them,” she said. “This is particularly important given that transplant/cell therapy can be resource-intensive.”
